The Men's and Women's team traveled to the Mt.
SAC Relays this weekend. The grueling course of rolling hills
and mountains was definitely a challenge for the Roadrunner
family. The women's team was lead by Ashley Huizar, who posted
a personal best on the Mt. SAC course. She placed 27th with a
time of 19:53. Ashley continues to improve weekly. She was
followed by Roxana Raigosa in 106th place in a time of 21:53.
Freshman Christine Lopez stepped up to the challenge posting a
personal best on the Mt. SAC course of 23:25. The Lady
Roadrunners placed 20th overall out of 32 scoring teams.
The Men's team was lead by Freshman, Joel
Carrillo. Joel placed 235th in a time of 26:39. Luis Macias
was 271st with a time of 28:02.
Next week, the Roadrunners adventure to College
of the Desert for conference championships. We anticipate
running well and advancing to Southern CA Finals
