A limited amount of grants are available each year to support individual, department and/or division professional development projects. Monies can be used for travel to conferences, on or off campus trainings, or other independently designed professional growth initiatives. Not sure what can be funded? 2019- 2020 Grant Information & Timeline Dates
- Application due by 12pm Friday, September 20th, 2019
- Funding is for projects between 9/30/19 and 2/29/20
Winter / Spring Grants
- Application due by 12pm Friday, December 6th, 2019
- Funding is for projects between 12/16/19 and 5/1/120
- Application due by 12pm Friday, April 3rd, 2020
- Funding is for projects between 5/1/20 and 9/23/20
Low Cost Grants
Low Cost Grants may be submitted year round (while funds last) and will be reviewed on either the 2nd or 4th Wednesday of the month.

Low Cost & Individual Grant Application
These two grant applications have been combined to a single application. Please download the fillable PDF. Save a copy for your records and print a copy for signatures.
Individuals may apply for a maximum of $750.00 in one grant round and will not be awarded more than $1,000.00 in a fiscal year.
Low cost grants are up to $200 and can be awarded throughout the year as funding permits.
Adjunct faculty may apply for a maximum of $200.00 per term.
You must complete a Travel Authorization request if your activity is taking place off campus. Please download that in addition to your grant application
Department, Division, and Group Grant Application
This application is intended for those who would like to bring guest speakers onto the campus, host a retreat or workshop, etc. Please download the fillable PDF. Save a copy for your records and print a copy for signatures.
Departments / Groups sponsoring a workshop or speaker, or groups attending the same off-campus event or training, can apply for a maximum of $1,800.00.
Multiple individuals applying to attend the same conference or event should fill out and submit the Low Cost & Individual Grant Application.
CSEA Educational Reimbursement Fund
Are you aware that CSEA staff can get up to $1,100 each year to reimburse costs for education and/or trainings? Priority is given for education/training directly related to current or projected job duties, but if funds allow, it may be possible to receive support for cultural enrichment and/or other general education courses. Be sure to seek approval from your supervisor AND the CSEA/Human Resources committee prior to registration. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
