The Río Hondo College Regional Training Center provides the academic skills, practical scenario training, physical training, and discipline to prepare you for a career in law enforcement or other public safety disciplines.
Prepare for Your Profession
The Police Academy program trains pre-service recruits who either sponsor themselves through the academy or are employed and sponsored by a law enforcement agency.
The Police Academy program satisfies all Peace Officer Standards and Training, State of California, and Basic Law Enforcement Academy training requirements for students seeking employment with a law enforcement agency or for newly hired officers and cadets.
All graduating students meet or exceed the Peace Officer Standards and Training professional standards and complete all written and practical skill tests required for employment in California.
