Get Ready for the STEAM Festival — A Free Day of Science, Fun and Discovery!

STEAM Festival Website

Posted on February 20, 2026 by Río Hondo College | Category: College News,Homepage News

Mark your calendars! The annual STEAM Festival is back at Río Hondo College on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — and the whole family is invited.

This free event is all about getting kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through fun, hands-on activities. We're talking chemistry experiments, physics demos, engineering challenges, biology activities, art demonstrations and so much more. If your kid likes to build, mix, create or explore, this is their kind of day.

Activities are designed for kids ages 5 and up, from elementary through high school, and are led by Río Hondo College students, faculty and community partners who love sharing their passion for STEAM.

Here's what you need to know:

  • When: Saturday, March 7, 2026 · 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Where: Río Hondo College · 3600 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA 90601
  • Cost: Absolutely free — free entry, free parking, plus gifts and prizes while supplies last
  • Food: Limited options available for purchase at the Río Cafe

Bring the family, bring the curiosity, and come ready to have a great time. Space for gifts is first-come, first-served, so get here early!
