Lower Division Requirements for Admission to the Bachelor’s Degree Program – Automotive Technology
To be eligible, applicants must have completed an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology that includes:
- A minimum of 32 units in Automotive Technology (TOP Code 0948.00), aligned with automotive service, diagnostics, and repair;
- Completion of a general education pattern (Local GE, CSU GE, IGETC, or Cal-GETC);
- Completion of the following courses (which may be applied toward the general education pattern):
- Critical Thinking: ENGL C1001, ENGL C1001H, or a comparable course and,
- Oral Communication: COMM C1000 or a comparable course
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, both overall and in Automotive Technology major courses; and
- A minimum of 75 total lower-division semester units
