- Hosting public debates and speaking events
- Public speaking at various events
- Teaching abroad
- Judging Forensics speech and debate competitions and showcases
- Engaging in research (e.g., The role of AI in human communication; Transfer and communication career pathways; Communication across the disciplines; Public speaking and the K-12 Common Core).

We also have many dedicated adjunct faculty, many of whom have been with the college for decades, while others have gone on to become full-time faculty at other institutions or pursued other meaningful endeavors. For example, former adjunct Steve Rohr presented a TEDx talk on his time coaching and mentoring students at Río Hondo.
The Communications & Languages Division staff are also here to support you. If you have any questions, please call 562-908-3429 or visit in person in room A219.
