You’re proud and you’ve worked hard! Now it’s time to celebrate your achievement! Río Hondo College has teamed with Parchment to offer an official digital and paper version of your diploma or certificate.
How to Claim your Digital Diploma and/or Certificate:
Graduates will receive an email and text notification with instructions for electronically claiming their diploma.
Follow these three simple steps:
1. Check your email and text messages for the award notification
2. Follow the link to set up your Parchment digital credentials (awards) account.
3. Share your digital diploma on Facebook and LinkedIn or download a secure PDF.
Mailed Diplomas and Certificates:
Graduates will also receive a printed copy of their diploma(s) and/or certificate(s) in the mail approximately 15-20 days after the digital award is released.
When creating the Parchment account, be sure to verify the mailing address on file. If corrections are needed, that can be completed via the Parchment account.

1. Will I still receive a paper copy of my award?
a. Yes! Parchment Diploma Services provides students with both a digital version and paper version of your awards!

2. How will I know when my diploma has been mailed?
a. Graduates will receive an email and text notification with instructions for electronically claiming their diploma.

3. Where will my diploma be sent?
a. Diplomas are mailed to the permanent mailing address you have on file with the Admissions and Records Office. Please check your address in your AccessRío student profile before the end of your final semester.

4. Can I get a digital version of my diploma?
a. Starting Spring 2025, all graduates receive a digital version of their diploma. Your digital diploma or certificate will always be accessible online through your Parchment account.

5. What if I lose my diploma/certificate or need an additional copy?
a. Replacement or duplicate diplomas may be ordered through Parchment. The fee is $25.00 per replacement fee. Please allow 2 -3 weeks for processing of the replacements. Once the replacement order is completed, you will receive a notification via Parchment. Please note that if you have been awarded more than one degree/certificate, you will need to place separate orders for each duplicate award you request.
