El Paisano is a General Excellence award winning newspaper of the Journalism Association of Community Colleges and has been publishing on the Rio Hondo campus for over 50 years. It is published bi-weekly on campus and covers news, sports, features and the arts. Students write, shot photos,edit and design the paper through the Newspaper Production classes.
El Paisano Online is also a General Excellence award winning publication of the JACC and is published almost daily as stories and photos develop on campus. La Cima, the college’s magazine, is also a General Excellence award winning publication of the JACC and is published once a year by the Journalism classes on campus. It has been publishing for over 50 years also and covers an array of feature stories, profiles articles and photos of the campus community.
River’s Voice is the annual literary journal of the Rio Hondo College campus community, comprised of original works from students, faculty, staff, and alumni along five genres: poetry, short story, memoir, one-act drama, and visual art.
