A student must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Undergraduate student or a teaching credential student
- Enrolled at least half-time (minimum 6 units per semester)
- California resident
- Meet all Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or CADAA (California Dream Act Application)
- Identify as one or more of the following underrepresented categories:
- First generation college student
- Current or former foster youth
- Homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless
- Qualify for a Federal Pell Grant or have an Expected Family Contribution as determined by the FAFSA or an equivalent “EFC” as determined by the CADAA.
- Student with a disability
- Displaced worker
- Student with dependent children
- Formerly incarcerated student
- Military veteran
