A Taste of Río will take place Thursday, June 18, 2026 on the beautiful Río Hondo College Campus beginning at 5:00 pm.

This popular and festive event, produced by the Río Hondo College Foundation, brings together more than 400 guests for an evening of delicious foods, fine wine and craft beer, delightful entertainment, and opportunity drawings. Musical entertainment adds to the festive atmosphere. The evening raises funds to support scholarships, programs and equipment that promote student success at Río Hondo College. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend event.

The World Cup is on this summer, and we’re bringing it to A Taste of Río. Catch the Mexico vs. South Korea game live in the Café during the event.

Río Hondo College plans to restore student access to Canvas and related systems on Sunday, May 10, around 8 a.m. The College is also working closely with faculty to support flexibility for students regarding assignments and exams during this time.

At this time, no decision has been made to postpone final exams. The College continues to evaluate options and monitor the situation carefully to best support student success.

Canvas is currently inaccessible due to an ongoing issue affecting Instructure, the parent company of Canvas. Out of an abundance of caution, access to Canvas has been temporarily suspended while the situation is being addressed.

Students and employees are advised to:

Avoid attempting to log into Canvas until further notice.

Do NOT download or open any file if prompted after navigating to the Canvas login page.

Río Hondo College is actively monitoring the situation and working closely with Instructure to receive updates and support instructional continuity. We understand the disruption this may cause to our campus community and appreciate your patience and understanding. Additional updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

Dear Río Hondo College Community,

We are pleased to report that the water main break has been repaired and water service has been fully restored to our main campus. All in-person classes and on-campus activities will resume as scheduled effective Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 6:00 a.m. We appreciate the Rio team and our partners at the San Gabriel Valley Water Co. for their tremendous work.
