Our Mission

Río Hondo College Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS) is committed to promoting educational equity by eliminating barriers to learning and ensuring full access to college programs and activities for students with differing abilities. Through individualized academic accommodations, assistive technology, and support, we foster independence and self-advocacy while upholding state and federal disability laws, including the ADA, Section 504, and Title 5. Our holistic support services and collaboration with faculty, staff, and community partners, equip students with the confidence and skills needed for success in education, careers, and life.

Located at the Río Hondo College Track and Soccer Field.
Free Parking in Lot 4
Wheelchair shuttle transportation from lot 4 to field available.

Join the Rio Hondo College DSPS Department and DSPS Student Council Club for a fun community event to celebrate ability in motion.

The event is $20 per person and all participants who register by July 10, 2026, will receive a free event t-shirt. The proceeds will be used to support DSPS students and the DSPS club.
