KINA 130 and KINA 230 are offered Open-Entry/Open-Exit.
Complete 54 hours on your own schedule! 

Hours of Operation:
Mon-Thurs 7am-1pm and 4pm-8pm (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring)
Friday 7am-1pm (Fall and Spring semesters only)

This set of courses is about your personal fitness, health, and wellness. This course can help you work towards being the best version of yourself. We aim to create a space where you can develop a sound body and mind through your fitness, health, and wellness journey.

KINA130 Course Description

This course is a self-paced physical fitness laboratory designed to foster positive health and wellness attitudes and habits. Topics include cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, body composition, muscular strength, and endurance. Students are assessed in each of these areas, and an individual fitness profile is established. Fitness activities primarily consist of exercises organized into an aerobic super circuit, with additional activities prescribed to increase strength and flexibility.

KINA230 Course Description

This course is a self-paced physical fitness laboratory designed to foster positive health and wellness attitudes and habits. The course provides students with the skills and information needed to improve cardiovascular fitness through activities such as running, rowing, cycling, core training, aerobic activity, aerobic circuit training, and resistance band training. Students learn about the importance of nutrition, blood pressure, heart rate, and exercise target zones in relation to cardiovascular disease.
