District Vehicle Use
District vehicles are available for approved activities such as athletic events, field trips, visiting other colleges, and other District related business.
District Vehicle Policies
- First-Come, First-Served: Vehicle requests are approved in the order received.
- Trip Distance: Vehicles are available for trips up to 100 miles one way.
- Advance Notice: Submit requests at least two weeks before your trip.
- Same-Day Return: All vehicles must be returned the same day and cannot be kept overnight.
- Vehicle Capacity: Vans seat up to 10 passengers, and shuttles seat up to 25. Do not remove van seats. Standard vans are 7 ft. tall; tall models are 8.5 ft. The fleet includes 10 vans and 2 shuttles (availability may vary due to maintenance)
- Request Form: A Transportation Request Form signed by your department manager or dean is required.
Driver Requirements
- Drivers must be 18 years or older, hold a valid California Driver’s License, and receive District approval before operating a District vehicle.
- Driver Responsibility: Employees are fully responsible for any traffic violations, parking tickets, tolls, fines, or other related fees incurred while using a district vehicle.
