Rio Hondo Career Technical Education Division hosted their annual Open House on Wednesday July 31, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM. The CTE Division hosted 179 participants, which included incoming/ current students and their families, high school staff and local community members. Participants were able to engage with 29 Rio Hondo Career Technical Education focused academic and student service programs. Guests were able to meet faculty, receive campus and CTE lab tours and demonstrations. Demonstrations included a Virtual Reality Career Exploration workshop, an opportunity to explore Heavy Equipment, Welding and Robotic Technology, an Architecture Engineering Design Augmented Reality sandbox and Geographic Information Systems drones. Lawn games, paletas and a nacho bar were also provided. Feedback from participants include "It was a great experience and cannot wait to attend next year's event!"
