Jennifer was appointed to the 14 person US Soccer Federation National Technical Committee for Player Development in 2001 and served through 2004. This committee is made up of US Youth National Team coaches, current US Men’s National Team Head Coach (Bruce Arena), then current Women’s National Team Head Coach (April Heinrichs), MLS and former WUSA professional league coaches.. She has trained dozens and dozens of players who have gone on to major universities as well as several players who have played in the women’s professional leagues around the world, the US and Mexican National teams, Olympics and World Cup. She has worked as an assistant coach on the Cal-South State ODP program since 1998 and as a head coach and assistant coach for the Region IV US Olympic Development Program (ODP) since 2003. She was the Region IV ODP assistant coach for the 1994 girls in 2008 and the head coach for the 1993 girls in 2009. Jennifer has been coaching competitive youth soccer for over half her life. For over 20 years she has trained or directed youth teams ages U/10-U/19 competing in the top leagues on the west coast. She started training one of the greatest girls’ teams to come out of the South Bay, the Torrance United Waves when she was just 16 years old. This team won dozens of tournaments in its lifespan of 9 years together, adding 4 National Cup Championships, 3 Regional Championships and 2 visits to the US Youth Soccer National Championship “Final Four” finishing in 2nd and 4th. Her trademark teams are highly skilled and play with determination and commitment. As head girls soccer coach at Chadwick High School in Palos Verdes, CA she took over a program that was 3-15-1 the previous year and reached the playoffs each of the five years she has been head coach and led them to the school’s first CIF-SS Girl’s Soccer Championship in 2005 and won the CIF Championship again in 2006 along with consecutive Prep League titles in 2005, 2006 and 2007. She added coaching the boys program at Chadwick for the 2005-2006 season and led them to a major turnaround season of 10-6-1, then to an undefeated league championship in 2007, from a team that had won just 1 game the previous year. In 2006-2007, the Chadwick soccer program swept the league titles in Varsity Boys’ and Girls’ and JV Girls. In 2003 she received the US Soccer Federation April Heinrichs/NIKE Coaching Award for her contributions and education in girl’s soccer. She has also been featured in Soccer Jr Magazine, Soccer America and Goal Magazine for her innovative coaching techniques. As an Assistant Coach at Long Beach City College in 2004 and 2005 she helped the team to the 2005 State Women’s Soccer Championship and the NSCAA Junior College #1 National ranking. She is currently the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Rio Hondo College in Whittier where she has been successful in turning around a 3-16 program building it to a top 20 nationally ranked team in 2014. In her first seven years at Rio Hondo 54 players have been recognized as All-Foothill Conference athletes and one has been awarded the Foothill Conference MVP by the Conference coaches. In those seven years 38 players have transferred to universities or accepted into a professional program such as a nursing RN program. Many of these players are receiving athletic or academic scholarships and continuing their soccer careers. The Roadrunner’s have had three Foothlll Conference Player of Year (MVP) since Jennifer took over the program. Professionally she worked at XARA Soccer, Inc, an international brand of soccer apparel, where she began as an intern and progressed to the Director level in management. She also worked as the Manager of Programs at the American Youth Soccer Organization national office in El Segundo, CA. She also produces team building and communication programs for small businesses and university athletic teams. She continues to play soccer at a high level, recently playing for the So Cal Futsal Academy in the Women’s’ Pro/Am Division of the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 United States Futsal National Championships’ where the team won four consecutive US Futsal Federation National Championships. As a senior in high school she chose to bypass her last year of playing high school soccer in order to play for the then #1 ranked women’s team in the nation, AJAX of Palos Verdes, CA. She graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 3 ½ years while playing Division 1 soccer and is still one of their leading record holders for Assists in a season and career. Jennifer completed the 200 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT200) program as a certified instructor from Yoga Alliance in 2006. She received her first Masters Degree in Business Leadership from Chapman University and completed a second graduate degree, a Masters of Science in Physical Education from Asuza Pacific University in 2007.
