The information contained in this community college course grid is intended to assist community college personnel in determining which community college courses are acceptable in lieu of other courses of participating Region 8 community colleges. Final determination of a course as equivalent is at the discretion of the receiving institution. If an honors section is available of an existing course within this planning guide, it will be accepted in lieu of the course indicated. For course repeatability purposes, students should check with their community college first before taking courses at other community colleges. Courses listed in this grid are based on catalog information available at the time of publication. While every effort is made to insure accuracy, it is the responsibility of students to submit transcripts to receiving universities and colleges for evaluation and final acceptance of coursework.
As indicated above, courses listed side-by-side on the same line on this grid are evaluated by individual community colleges when students transfer between them. It is NOT intended to be a substitute for articulation agreements between universities and community colleges; that is, because articulation information must be verified and is continually changing, students cannot assume that a course determined to be transferable between community colleges has been verified as equivalent by a particular university. Refer to articulation agreements between universities and community colleges, as well as any articulation systems available such as ASSIST and C-ID (Course Identification Numbering System) when selecting courses applicable to transfer programs.
This publication is made available through the combined efforts of articulation officers from the following Region 8 Community Colleges:
